6 Weeks - Lentil Bean

The nose, mouth and ears are starting to take shape. Baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil bean! We now know our due date...drum roll please...Christmas Day! At this point in the pregnancy food isn't all that appealing. Thankfully it's not full-on morning sickness, but more feeling icky all day long. It's so worth it though!

In April we took a trip to San Diego for Jeff's final Navy Reserve duty, and to see our good friends (and soon to be newlyweds!) Elena and Kevin. Jeff and I snuck in a little fishing in the San Diego Bay. Even though we didn't catch anything, we had great fun trying and being on the water.

3 Weeks

That "bump" is probably more BBQ and ice cream, but we wanted to document the pregnancy from start to finish. We found out very early on that we were expecting thanks to some very strong symptoms. Our first test was hilarious because it wasn't fully positive, but it wasn't fully negative either! If the result is unclear you are suppose to wait three days to take the next one which Jeff was determined to do. However, thankfully he had a change of heart the next day. Those 24 hours were torture! The second test was definitely positive, so I guess you could say we were "eased" into the idea of becoming parents. The first few weeks were so much fun while we daydreamed of what life will be like moving forward, baby names, nursery ideas, and of course anxiously awaiting to find out our due date.
