Welcome to the Reed Family blog, inspired by a new house and a baby on the way. We are beyond excited to welcome the newest addition to our family in December, and create the perfect nest in the meantime!

19 Weeks - Heirloom Tomato
I'm pretty sure baby found its arms and legs this week because the little monster is moving all around. The first time Jeff felt it move was after he poked my belly and baby responded with a little nudge. It either didn't like being poked, or is already playing games with Dad! What use to be a slight nudge from within has now turned into kicks though. I guess baby has just grown big enough for me to feel it more obviously. It's so exciting to feel it move, and also more fun for Daddy.
We spent the weekend in San Diego for the (Elena and Kevin) Donnelly wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, and we were so happy to see two of our good friends become husband and wife. It was also a really nice break from the brutally hot summer we're having in Texas!

You Take After Your Dad
Dear Baby, If you come out a little on the wild side, I'm going to say "you take after your Dad." Proof below.

15 Weeks - Apple
You guessed it, baby is about the size of an apple! The little one can now sense light and its taste buds are forming. I hope it likes my cooking, and Chick-fil-A of course. Dairy Queen Blizzards are also a huge hit in our family, especially over the last couple of weeks! I promise this baby is getting some nutrients in-between fried chicken and ice cream stops.

14 Weeks - Lemon
The little one is having a big week of developments. It can now pee and possibly suck its thumb! Baby is also stretching out to about the size of a lemon. Food cravings have been around for a few weeks but I'm loving breakfast foods these days, especially pancakes! I've never had much of a sweet tooth prior to the pregnancy but that has all changed now. Jeff has a big sweet tooth so he's convinced the baby is already taking after him.
Yes, I did. I wore a two-piece swimsuit while pregnant. It was out of desperation but I soon realized there were women way more pregnant than I showcasing their bumps. During weekends in Austin we usually like to spend our afternoons at Barton Springs which is a natural spring water pool. The temperature is always a refreshing 71 degrees which feels oh so good during the hot Texas summers. The hunt for a proper tankini or one-piece is on!
